Why does sin equal death? can you give me a few illustrations how sin leads to death?

The life we have is given to us by God. All "life" comes from God and without God there is no life. God gave us a free will to chose what we do with the life He has given us while we are here on earth. If we chose to live a life of God we will receive eternal life as a reward. If we chose to live a life of sin, God will seperate us from Himself to death. There is no sin or death in God... only life. The life we have now is a gift. But this short life determines our eternity. If we use it for sin we will die and suffer eternal damnation. The choice is ours. If we repent from our sins and turn to God we will live joyfully in eternal life. So the reason sin equils death is because there is no sin in God... and God is life. therefore if we chose to live a life of sin, we will die the death.
